About Me and My Bullies
Most people wonder why bulldogs are so
expensive. There are many reasons, the biggest
one being how incredibly much work there is
involved with the breeding and whelping of the
mother, and the raising of the puppies. When
Maybelline's puppies were born, I had to take three
weeks off of work and sleep in my kitchen, rotating
shifts of puppies every three hours onto her so
they could nurse, while I supervised to guarantee
they wouldn't be laid on.
But I have a very good reason why I am willing to
do all this hard work. My youngest son has ADHD
and Aspergers' Syndrome, which is on the Autism
spectrum, and I have finally found a wonderful,
albeit private, school where he gets all the help
he needs to succeed. The only problem is that this
school costs me double my annual income of what I
earn from my regular job. So if it's any consolation,
every penny that I earn off the dogs I sell goes
directly to pay my son's tuition so he can get the
education he needs.
And while I am still a bit new to bulldogs, I have
been a dog breeder for over five years now. I
decided to get into bulldogs when I moved to
Georgia in 2006. I figured, if I'm going to breed
dogs and live in Georgia, what better dog to
breed? So I got my lovely Miss Suga Wuga
Maybelline, who has a direct pedigree from UGA VI.
She is a beautiful, all white English Bulldog, with
the most fantastic personality and temperament.
My neighbors come over to visit Maybelline, not
me! She is the belle of the ball when it comes to
everyone who lives on my street.
And Zoie, my French Bulldog, is my newest
addition. She is a very sweet tempered dog and
has been a wonderful mother.
